Blockchain for Healthcare - BfH

What role can decentralisation play in the healthcare ecosystem?

Blockchain for Healthcare (BfH) is an educational project exploring the relationship between decentralisation and digital health.Using clear, accessible language, BfH explains how blockchain and other forms of distributed ledger technology (DLT) can be applied to healthcare processes in Italy, across Europe and around the world. One question guides the project: when does decentralisation make sense in a given healthcare setting? To explore this question, BfH examines practical examples, opportunities and limitations, focusing on the problems that need to be addressed and how these technologies can help.

Whoโ€™s behind BfH?

Blockchain for Healthcare is an independent editorial project based in Italy, created and run by Fabio FiorentiniFabio has over twenty-five years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, spanning multiple therapeutic areas and pharmaceutical market access. For more than a decade, he has explored the applications of blockchain to health and healthcare.BfH is built on the belief that understanding the transformation of healthcare also requires understanding the infrastructure that makes it possible. The project grew out of the community around Accademia Decentra, an organisation Fabio co-founded in Bologna in 2018.

What topics does BfH cover?
